Catelyn's Christmas Present shh....

Today I went to Briarwoods flea market and found this adorable table and two chairs. For a while now, I had been pricing table and chairs trying to figure out an affordable way to get one. They are a little expensive for me brand new, and I already had it in my mind that it was what I wanted to give Catelyn as a Christmas present, so I figured a garage sale was my best bet. I was so excited with what I found!!! I saw something similar on the internet for $200 and I paid $50. Whohoo!! I can't wait to give it to her. Merry Christmas Catelyn! Ha!

*not a great picture, but it shows the detail better. :)

Yummy!

This was always my favorite part of baking with my mom as a kid. Catelyn seems to be following in my footsteps quite well.

Stickers

Randomly, Catelyn got a sheet of stickers sent to her in the mail one day from the Highlights magazine. She used them to there fullest potential. :)

How to Eat an Ashley Mac's Cupcake!

Tonight we went over to Wald Park for an early 4th of July celebration, where Ashley Mac's had a booth. Catelyn was cracking us up eating her cupcake. She was so intent on savoring the icing of each lick from the cupcake. It was hilarious!! Fortunatly, Sandy (Ashley's mom) had a camera, and took these great pictures.

Then & Now

Last week, a group of us got together and went to the zoo. As always, the kids had a great time. Catelyn's favorite part by far is the water area. While I was looking at the pictures, deciding which ones I wanted to post, I couldn't help but think back to last year. Wow...what a difference a year makes!

Last year around this time.

This year!

Vertigo Jazz Project

I always knew my brother was talented, but I don't think I really have a clue of how talented he really is. Preston, my brother, plays guitar (along with many other instuments) and makes it seem so effortless, even though his fingers are going 90 to nothin'. A few weeks ago, his band, Vertigo Jazz Project, was asked to come from NC to play at Work Play here in Birmingham. Fortunately, Will and I had the opportunity to go hear him play, and it was so much fun!! I was so proud of him! He's amazing!! I tried to take some footage of him playing, but it was done on my camera so the quality is not so great. He's still awesome though! :) **More posts. Keep going.

Gatlinburg

Catelyn and I had the chance to meet my family in Gatlingburg, TN for a visit at the end of May. Preston, Julian and Amelia came from NC and my parents drove from Tuscaloosa. Sarah and Clayton met Catelyn and I in Chatanooga and we finished the trip together. While we were there, we got a chance to see aunts, uncles and cousins we hadn't seen in quite a while. It was great getting to catch up!

Catelyn, Amelia & Clayton

The kids learned "Ring Around the Rosie"- which has become one of Catelyn's favorite games to play.

Big Hugs!

Stopping for a picture in Gatlinburg (Catelyn was not too happy)

So...I got her a sucker! All better. :)

Lovin's for Mamaw!

Big Kisses!

Uncle David quickly became one of Catelyn's favorites!
