Goodwill Score!

Our new house has an island that needed bar stools. We didn't have any, and didn't have a budget to buy brand new ones, so my mission began. I couldn't believe I found my chairs on my first trip out to thrift store shop! And to beat it all, I went on half price day and got BOTH of my chairs for only $30!! I was pumped! I was even more excited when I looked them up on line and found that the chairs retail for $75 - $100 a piece! That just made my find even more exciting! The chairs were in fantastic shape but weren't the right color of wood for my kitchen. No worries... with the help of my sander, black spray paint and a couple hours, I had the perfect new seats for my island! Woohoo!!!

The "Before" picture.
Sanded down and ready to paint. :)
Finished product!
The view of them in my kitchen! Yay for bar stools!

Fun Morning Waffles

A while back my mom found this super cute waffle maker with the faces of Tigger and Pooh on it. In the midst of moving half a dozen times :) , I had forgotten we had it until we moved here. I broke it out this morning and the kids were so excited! Such a cute idea and made breakfast for the kids so fun!

The happy eaters!

Three More Days

Only three more days until the movers will be here to load us up and move us to Knoxville. I'm so ready. This experience has given me complete admiration and sympathy to single parents. I don't know how they do it day in and day out. My kids have really done well while Will has been away, but I sure miss my guy! Speaking of the kids... I love seeing their little creativity come alive with all that's going on. The majority of their toys are packed up, but they find other ways to entertain themselves. I should have been taking more pictures of the things they've come up with to pass the time, but alas I did not. Boo. I did however, capture this moment of them playing in the empty kitchen cabinets. Such little cuties and such troopers!
