Drum Roll Please....

It's a BOY!!! Will and I were convinced we were having another little girl, so we were completely shocked to see the well defined picture that the baby was most definitely, without question, a boy! We are so completely excited! We are naming him William Philip Lawler, III and calling him "Tripp" for short.

Happy News!

Yep...we're pregnant! I'm 12 weeks, and due May 13th. This sweet baby came as a surprise to Will and I, but we could not be more excited. Catelyn was actually due on May 14th, but didn't get her until the 21st. So...we'll see how close these babies are in birthdays. :) I will say though, if we have another little girl it will be the most cost efficient baby considering she will be in the exact same seasons as Catelyn.

In other news, our computer crashed and were temporarily working with a rather unreliabe laptop. We're working on getting a new Mac, so once we do I'll resume with posting pictures.

Anyways, just wanted to share our happy news! :)

Catelyn's Christmas Present shh....

Today I went to Briarwoods flea market and found this adorable table and two chairs. For a while now, I had been pricing table and chairs trying to figure out an affordable way to get one. They are a little expensive for me brand new, and I already had it in my mind that it was what I wanted to give Catelyn as a Christmas present, so I figured a garage sale was my best bet. I was so excited with what I found!!! I saw something similar on the internet for $200 and I paid $50. Whohoo!! I can't wait to give it to her. Merry Christmas Catelyn! Ha!

*not a great picture, but it shows the detail better. :)

Yummy!

This was always my favorite part of baking with my mom as a kid. Catelyn seems to be following in my footsteps quite well.

Stickers

Randomly, Catelyn got a sheet of stickers sent to her in the mail one day from the Highlights magazine. She used them to there fullest potential. :)

How to Eat an Ashley Mac's Cupcake!

Tonight we went over to Wald Park for an early 4th of July celebration, where Ashley Mac's had a booth. Catelyn was cracking us up eating her cupcake. She was so intent on savoring the icing of each lick from the cupcake. It was hilarious!! Fortunatly, Sandy (Ashley's mom) had a camera, and took these great pictures.

Then & Now

Last week, a group of us got together and went to the zoo. As always, the kids had a great time. Catelyn's favorite part by far is the water area. While I was looking at the pictures, deciding which ones I wanted to post, I couldn't help but think back to last year. Wow...what a difference a year makes!

Last year around this time.

This year!

Vertigo Jazz Project

I always knew my brother was talented, but I don't think I really have a clue of how talented he really is. Preston, my brother, plays guitar (along with many other instuments) and makes it seem so effortless, even though his fingers are going 90 to nothin'. A few weeks ago, his band, Vertigo Jazz Project, was asked to come from NC to play at Work Play here in Birmingham. Fortunately, Will and I had the opportunity to go hear him play, and it was so much fun!! I was so proud of him! He's amazing!! I tried to take some footage of him playing, but it was done on my camera so the quality is not so great. He's still awesome though! :) **More posts. Keep going.

Gatlinburg

Catelyn and I had the chance to meet my family in Gatlingburg, TN for a visit at the end of May. Preston, Julian and Amelia came from NC and my parents drove from Tuscaloosa. Sarah and Clayton met Catelyn and I in Chatanooga and we finished the trip together. While we were there, we got a chance to see aunts, uncles and cousins we hadn't seen in quite a while. It was great getting to catch up!

Catelyn, Amelia & Clayton

The kids learned "Ring Around the Rosie"- which has become one of Catelyn's favorite games to play.

Big Hugs!

Stopping for a picture in Gatlinburg (Catelyn was not too happy)

So...I got her a sucker! All better. :)

Catelyn Turns TWO!!!

On May 21st, my baby turned two years old!!! This year Catelyn was all about "Winnie the Pooh," so a "Pooh" themed party was the natural choice. I made her a little pooh dress and I had a blast making her cake. It also worked out perfect that my mom went to a garage sale where the lady had two different pooh calenders she was selling. Mom grabbed them up, and they made for perfect decorations. Almost all of the family was able to come and Catelyn had a ball. It was a great time!

The cake :)

The decorations!

Mamaw reading to Clayton and Catelyn (or Cate and Buddy as the kids say to each other)

We waited until the end of the party for a family photo. Bad idea! Catelyn was over it. Oh well, nice try anyway.

The Beach

On the first of May, our little family headed to Orange Beach for a much needed break. Will's grandparents have a condo there and are so sweet about letting us use it. I must confess... the beach with a two year old is quite different then the past beach trips we've made, but never the less we had a great time! :)

Easter

Since last Sunday, Catelyn has been super sick with lower respiratory disease- i.e. really nasty, nasty cold. Such an exagerated name for a diagnosis. :) Anyways, she still is not 100% so Catelyn and I didn't get to go to church this morning. We were able to go to Montevallo to spend time with Will's family, so that was really nice. I missed hearing the Easter message, but was glad to be with family and celebrate with them. We had such a good time, and it was fun giving Catelyn her Easter basket and watching her get excited about what she found. I hope you all had a very Happy Easter celebrating our risen Savior!

Hunting Eggs

Catelyn hunted for eggs for the very first time today, and she did awesome!! I wasn't sure if she would get in to it or not, but she took off with it and had a ball. It was funny to watch her though, because rather than collecting her eggs and than sitting down to see what was in them, she stopped after finding each egg to see what it had inside. She did so good, and had so much fun finding stickers and little plastic rings, and of course...candy!

Starting to understand how to hunt eggs.

Pausing to see what she got.

Realizing this is FUN, and pointing to other eggs she sees.

Loving the effort! :)

I'm not sure if you can really see her face or not, but the look of determination to find more eggs, cracks me up!

This picture also makes me laugh, because that particular egg didn't have anything in it. The look on her face is like..."what the heck!"

Finding more eggs!

How can you not love that sweet face!!

Checking out her bounty.

Way to go! She found the last egg!
