Bugs and Butterfly Birthday Party!!

This past weekend we celebrated Catelyn's 5th and Tripp's 2nd birthday with a Bug and Butterfly party.  I even made them little bug/ butterfly shirts for the occasion. :) We had such a good time.  My sweet family came from all over for the occasion and my kids were beyond excited!  Here are just a few pictures (ha!) from the day.  Happy Birthday to my sweet babies!!

Happy Easter

Our Easter morning didn't go quite as planned. Unfortunately, due to a migraine headache, we weren't able to go to church. Thankfully, by the afternoon I was ok and we were able to make the best of a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

(Catelyn was hilarious when the hunt began. My girl had her game face on and was on a mission to find those eggs. She was hilariously cute! Tripp did better than I expected on the hunt. He was definitely in to it, although he was just as excited to find an empty egg as he was to find one filled with candy. Ha! I have a feeling that will be different next year. :)

Goodwill Score!

Our new house has an island that needed bar stools. We didn't have any, and didn't have a budget to buy brand new ones, so my mission began. I couldn't believe I found my chairs on my first trip out to thrift store shop! And to beat it all, I went on half price day and got BOTH of my chairs for only $30!! I was pumped! I was even more excited when I looked them up on line and found that the chairs retail for $75 - $100 a piece! That just made my find even more exciting! The chairs were in fantastic shape but weren't the right color of wood for my kitchen. No worries... with the help of my sander, black spray paint and a couple hours, I had the perfect new seats for my island! Woohoo!!!
