Candy in the Nose

Definitely know you're a mommy when you spend a Friday night in the E.R. because your crazy kiddo sticks candy up his nose and you can't get it out.  Fortunately, he wasn't in any pain and the candy dislodged itself on its own- no forceps needed.  Thank heavens!  Now when you ask Tripp was goes in his nose he says "only buggers...no candy."  Love it!  At least he's learning. Ha!

Bugs

Catelyn's class is studying bugs and her assignment was to make any bug she wanted. Her choice...a butterfly, and she did awesome!  We shaved crayons on wax paper and ironed them to melt them.  Then we took left over easter eggs for the body and used pipe cleaners for the attenae. She cut out the shape of the butterfly herself and we love how it turned out.  Love doing projects with my little girl!

Montgomery Rodeo

The kids experienced their first rodeo in Montgomery and they loved it!  I wondered how they would do and how long they would last, but they made it through the entire thing without any problems at all. They crashed on the drive home, but I can't say that I blame them.  It was a fun day!

Valentine's Mail Box

Catelyn was assigned by her teacher to make a mail box for Valentines Day at school.  When I asked her what she wanted it to look like she didn't hesitate and said "bird house!"  So, we set off to make a birdhouse.  We cut up some cardboard boxes, fired up the glue gun, found some stickers, glitter, scrapbook paper & trim and set out to accomplish our project.  She did awesome!!  She is a natural at art projects and I love it!!  Here she is with her fantastic creation made and designed by her!! Great job baby!!
