Two Month Check-Up

Well...we made it through the dreaded first shots! Catelyn was such a trooper, and I was so proud of our sweet girl. She is growing like crazy! She weighed in at 10 lbs 2 oz, and is 23 inches long. As far as percentiles go, she is 45% for weight and 75% for height. She's definitely a Lawler- built tall, lean and narrow. As for me, I was also proud of myself for getting through the shots without tears. We had to wait a little while before the doctor
came in, and I could hear other babies getting their shots. I just about made a bee line for the door, but fortunately- we got through it! :) Here's some more pictures, just for kicks and giggles!!

Only 7 weeks old, yet so loved!

Over the past week, we've had so much fun with different visitors. Nannie and Aunt Carolyn (Will's grandmother & great aunt) came to see us and spent some time with Catelyn. It was fun getting to catch up and watch them with her. Also, this past Sunday, we were able to have some lunch and hang out with Pops, Momma Jack and Aunt Rudy (Will's dad, mom and sister). Then yesterday Mamaw (my mom) came to watch Catelyn so I could go to my post pregnancy appointment- where I've been officially cleared- Yea! I love that we live so close to family, and that Catelyn is getting to spend so much time with all the people that love her. It's such a blessing!

Fourth of July

Well...Catelyn got to experience her very first 4th of July. However, she slept through the whole thing so I don't think it made an impression on her. It amazes me the way babies can sleep through things like that. We had a great time celebrating our nations birthday. We hung out with a bunch of friends, and of course had BBQ, then went to watch the fireworks at Vulcan. They were beautiful, and we had a great time. Our little precious was an angel and made it a very enjoyable evening.

We now have internet at the house. Yea!! Of course, the first thing I had to do was set up a blog to show off our beautiful little girl! She was born May 21 at 12:16 pm. She was 6 lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long. We have our 8 week apt coming up in a couple of weeks, and I'm totally looking forward to seeing how much she's grown. Catelyn has been an absolute joy to be a momma to. She's starting to smile some (although, I've yet to catch it on camera), but it brings a smile to my face every time she does.

This past weekend, we had a great time having all my family here. My parents came from Tuscaloosa, and Graham, Sarah and Clayton came from Huntsville. Preston, Julian and Amelia came from North Carolina, and were finally able to meet Catelyn. It was so great having all the family together. We of course got a little camera happy with all the sweet babies in the house. Here is just one of the pictures I thought was so precious, and a picture of the very happy grandparents with their grandbabbies. Don't worry...they'll be plenty more posted later. haha!
