Good Morning!

This morning, I got Catelyn out of her crib and decided we needed to spend the morning outside. It felt SO great, and I couldn't resist. It's been so hot over the past month, that the cool morning air was relaxing. Catelyn had never been in the grass, so I thought this morning would be a great time for a new experience. She made some funny faces at first, but then was pretty intrigued by the feel of it all. It was fun snapping pictures and getting some "aw that's cute looks," and some "what on earth are they doing?" looks from the people passing by. ha! Anyways, I better get the pics posted before 'little bit' wakes up!

Labor Day at the Beach

Will & I, Catelyn, Mamma Jack and Pops (Will's parents) all headed to the beach this past weekend for some much needed rest and relaxation. I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing time. The weather was beautiful, and the food was outstanding!!!! Catelyn did so great and slept until 7 o'clock two mornings (normally she's a 6 o'clock girl). During the day we hung out at the beach, ate at some fantastic restaurants and went to the outlets. It was really fun watching Catelyn experience everything too. She's such a laid back little punkin'. I think I got more of a kick out of everything than she did. We played in the pool, took a dip in the ocean and put our toes in the sand. It was too much fun, and of course the camera went along for all of it. It was also fun getting to watch the grand-parents with her. I think they are as addicted as we are :) We did have one little blunder on our trip home. There was a wreck that covered the whole road. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but it put us at a stand still for two hours. We took advantage of the time and got Catelyn out of her car seat and played for a while. We even let her have a turn driving (you'll see in the pics- ha!). Anyways, the trip was wonderful, and hopefully this time it won't take us so long to get back. Enjoy the pics!

Time Flies!

Wow...so it's been a while since I've updated! Where does the time go. I will say though, it's kinda funny that I waited so long, considering I'm constantly checking friends blogs and loving it when a new update shows up on the screen. I'll try and do better. :)

Not a whole lot has gone on in the past month, but it has still been a good one. Like the rest of you dealing with the sweltering heat, we stayed in a lot. However, that granted more time to play and time to continue learning about the sweet little personality that makes up our little girl. Catelyn is smiling all the time and is starting to giggle some. It's precious! She's sleeping through the night now, and I'm not going to lie- every morning when I get up and I've had that wonderful continuous sleep, it's like a little gift. I almost feel like birds should be chirping all around me. I'm sure you other mothers out there know just what I'm talking about. :) Anyways, this past weekend was Will's birthday and my mom came in town and kept Catelyn so he and I could go out on a much needed date. We did the dinner and a movie thing, and it was great! It was just fun getting to spend that one on one time together. We're headed for the beach this Thursday, and I'm so excited. It will be our first vacation since May of last year. Where the time goes, I just don't know. I'll be sure to post lost of pics once we get back. I'm curious to see how Catelyn will react to all of it. She's still pretty little, so she may not think much at all, but it will still be fun playing with her in the pool and the sand. Oh well, that's all for now. Enjoy the pics!

Sleeping pictures are just so sweet!

Looking up at Daddy!

Two Month Check-Up

Well...we made it through the dreaded first shots! Catelyn was such a trooper, and I was so proud of our sweet girl. She is growing like crazy! She weighed in at 10 lbs 2 oz, and is 23 inches long. As far as percentiles go, she is 45% for weight and 75% for height. She's definitely a Lawler- built tall, lean and narrow. As for me, I was also proud of myself for getting through the shots without tears. We had to wait a little while before the doctor
came in, and I could hear other babies getting their shots. I just about made a bee line for the door, but fortunately- we got through it! :) Here's some more pictures, just for kicks and giggles!!

Bathtime!

Only 7 weeks old, yet so loved!

Over the past week, we've had so much fun with different visitors. Nannie and Aunt Carolyn (Will's grandmother & great aunt) came to see us and spent some time with Catelyn. It was fun getting to catch up and watch them with her. Also, this past Sunday, we were able to have some lunch and hang out with Pops, Momma Jack and Aunt Rudy (Will's dad, mom and sister). Then yesterday Mamaw (my mom) came to watch Catelyn so I could go to my post pregnancy appointment- where I've been officially cleared- Yea! I love that we live so close to family, and that Catelyn is getting to spend so much time with all the people that love her. It's such a blessing!

Fourth of July

Well...Catelyn got to experience her very first 4th of July. However, she slept through the whole thing so I don't think it made an impression on her. It amazes me the way babies can sleep through things like that. We had a great time celebrating our nations birthday. We hung out with a bunch of friends, and of course had BBQ, then went to watch the fireworks at Vulcan. They were beautiful, and we had a great time. Our little precious was an angel and made it a very enjoyable evening.

Our Sweet Catelyn

We now have internet at the house. Yea!! Of course, the first thing I had to do was set up a blog to show off our beautiful little girl! She was born May 21 at 12:16 pm. She was 6 lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long. We have our 8 week apt coming up in a couple of weeks, and I'm totally looking forward to seeing how much she's grown. Catelyn has been an absolute joy to be a momma to. She's starting to smile some (although, I've yet to catch it on camera), but it brings a smile to my face every time she does.

This past weekend, we had a great time having all my family here. My parents came from Tuscaloosa, and Graham, Sarah and Clayton came from Huntsville. Preston, Julian and Amelia came from North Carolina, and were finally able to meet Catelyn. It was so great having all the family together. We of course got a little camera happy with all the sweet babies in the house. Here is just one of the pictures I thought was so precious, and a picture of the very happy grandparents with their grandbabbies. Don't worry...they'll be plenty more posted later. haha!
